El Paso International Airport
Since 2001 El Paso International Airport (EPIA) has invited music ensembles from all area schools, University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), El Paso Community College (EPCC), and Fort Bliss to perform at the terminal during the holiday season. Participation is available to community ensembles by an application and review process.
Performances will be scheduled as follows:
Monday, December 4 through Friday, December 8
Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15
Monday, December 18 through Friday, December 22
For performances completed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., refreshments for the ensemble and parking validation for the vehicles transporting ensemble members will be provided. For performances that end after 5:00 p.m., refreshments and parking validation will not be available. Reservations are generally for 60 minutes of performance time and must load in and load out within your designated time. Reservations to schedule specific performance times are on a first-come-first-served basis. Performances are secular in nature. Performances are on a volunteer basis, there is no payment for performances.
To provide a pleasant holiday experience while traveling at EPIA as well as showcase our local talent to out of town visitors.
HOW TO APPLY
Community ensembles interested in being considered for performing must submit all of the following items no later than Wednesday, November 22, 2017:
Completed Application Form Online
Include a summary of professional history and biographical information
Photographs (color and/or digital format preferred)
Digital Demo; submit the best 90-second representation of your work
No VHS, audiotapes or slides will be accepted
Schedule of songs you plan to perform
Submit any additional materials that will help EPIA better understand the services provided by the organization; including news clippings, CD/DVD, or any printed promotional material
Note: Amplifiers must be kept at a minimal level that does not interfere with airport PA system or other airport operations. Groups must be able to perform with in the designated area of about 16 feet by 38 feet and are not to obstruct the surrounding passenger traffic or meeter/greeter areas at any time during the performance. Extension cords and moving equipment i.e. dollies or carts cannot be provided by El Paso International Airport.
All applications and all support materials will be approved by the Airport.
All applications are evaluated according to the following criteria:
Quality and appropriateness of support materials
History and professional experience
Evidence of professional reviews and critiques or recommendations
Applications will be accepted by the EPIA beginning on October 1, 2017. All applications and support materials due by 5:00 PM on November 22, 2017. The form is included in this booklet.

All applicants will receive a call from our office confirming your reservation within 2 business days of receipt, please call (915) 212-7340 if do not receive a call. EPIA will keep all submitted support materials for documentation and promotional purposes.
